Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Valid Maine state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certified Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech and Hearing Clinician Certificate K–12 (293)
  • Current Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) clearance
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with students across a range of exceptionalities and abilities
  • Proficiency with evaluating, diagnosing, and treating diverse communication disorders, including supporting non-verbal students
  • Comfortable with augmentative and alternative communication devices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop diagnoses, and implement direct speech, language, and cognitive-communication interventions
  • Partner with teachers, families, and support staff to facilitate student success
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of student progress and services provided
  • Participate in IEP meetings and assist with crafting individualized educational plans
  • Remain informed of current best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology
