Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Hyattsville, MD

Key Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure (or eligibility) in Speech-Language Pathology
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
• Previous pediatrics and/or school-based SLP experience highly valued
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
• Strong commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to children with diverse needs
• Consult with teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
• Provide prevention, intervention, and advocacy for students’ speech and language development
• Stay current with best practices in pediatric speech-language pathology
