Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Licensed (or eligibility) as an SLP in New York State
- Experience with school-aged children, ideally with a focus on middle school populations
- Skilled in a broad range of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Previous work in self-contained classrooms highly valued
- Proficient with SLP teletherapy platforms and SLP healthcare protocols
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to middle school students with diverse needs within a self-contained classroom
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student success
- Engage in evaluations, screenings, and progress monitoring
- Adapt interventions using evidence-based methods and assistive technologies as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school and state requirements
