Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students during a maternity leave as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year. This assignment covers the start of the academic year, running from August 10, 2026, through the first week of November. Located across two neighboring schools (elementary and intermediate/middle), you’ll enjoy the ease of moving between buildings that are just a short walk apart.
You’ll manage a varied caseload of approximately 90 students in grades K–8, playing a vital role in their communication development. This flexible position allows you to design your daily schedule within a 7-hour workday (plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch), split as needed between the two campuses according to student needs and your preferred workflow.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid state licensure as required for school-based practice
- Prior experience serving school-age children in educational settings
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Enthusiasm for working collaboratively with school staff, families, and students
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language therapy services for K–8 students as outlined in IEPs
- Complete speech and language evaluations and assist with eligibility determinations
- Develop and implement personalized therapy plans
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and required documentation
