Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist providing vital maternity leave coverage for the 2026–27 school year. You’ll serve two collaborative campuses—Liberty Elementary and Liberty Intermediate/Middle—conveniently located adjacent to each other near Valparaiso, IN. From August 10 through early November 2026, make a difference for approximately 90 students spanning kindergarten through eighth grade.
This position allows you to craft your own daily schedule within a seven-hour workday (plus a 30-minute lunch break, unpaid), efficiently splitting work hours between both buildings. You won’t be expected to cover the entire span of both campuses’ individual school days—giving you flexibility and variety.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in Indiana
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Experience delivering services in school settings, with a focus on K–8 populations
- Strong collaboration, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage a diverse and varied caseload efficiently
- Previous experience in maternity leave or interim school placements is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to students with a range of speech and language needs
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain compliant documentation as required by school and state standards
- Adapt services and approaches to meet students’ evolving needs throughout the assignment
