In this therapy-focused role, you’ll be instrumental in providing speech-language services, delivering meaningful intervention for students in the DHH program, and working alongside two other skilled therapists to make a lasting impact.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP license required
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) or certification in Deaf Hard of Hearing Therapy (DHHT)
- Recent fingerprint clearance through TEA (if not already completed for another district)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapy services to a caseload of students in the Regional Day School Program for the Deaf
- Collaborate with team members and educators to support IEP goals
- Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely progress reports
- Use ASL daily to interact with and support students
- Participate in relevant meetings and contribute to a culture of inclusivity and student empowerment
