This full-time contract opportunity begins August 2026 and runs through May 2027, offering a chance to be a key member of a dedicated team within a specialized regional program. In this therapy-focused role, you’ll be instrumental in providing speech-language services, delivering meaningful intervention for students in the DHH program, and working alongside two other skilled therapists to make a lasting impact.

Qualifications:

  • Active Texas SLP license required
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) or certification in Deaf Hard of Hearing Therapy (DHHT)
  • Recent fingerprint clearance through TEA (if not already completed for another district)
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver therapy services to a caseload of students in the Regional Day School Program for the Deaf
  • Collaborate with team members and educators to support IEP goals
  • Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely progress reports
  • Use ASL daily to interact with and support students
  • Participate in relevant meetings and contribute to a culture of inclusivity and student empowerment
