Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid Florida SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong consideration for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
- Experience with pediatric populations, especially early childhood/pre-K, is a plus
- Knowledge of school-based service delivery and IEP processes
- Excellent interpersonal, organization, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Screen, assess, and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in pre-K students
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support each child’s progress
- Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress notes
- Participate in IEP meetings and consult on best practices for language-rich learning environments
This contract position begins in August 2026 and goes through May 2027, aligning with the school calendar and affording breaks for work-life balance. You will be vital in shaping foundational communication skills during a critical stage of development.
