Position Details
Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Floresville, TX
Schedule: 5 Days Per Week (Fall Semester), 4 Days Per Week (Spring Semester)
Setting: School-Based
Caseload Information
- Provide speech-language therapy services to K-8 students
- Serve students across elementary and middle school grade levels
- Schedule includes 5 days per week during the fall semester and 4 days per week during the spring semester
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders
- Develop individualized therapy goals and treatment plan
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language services in accordance with IEP goals
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
- Support students' communication skills in academic and social settings
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed
- Ensure compliance with state, district, and special education guidelines
Qualifications
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes and special education services preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
