This on-site position offers the structure and engagement of a traditional school setting, with a start date of August 10, 2026, and a contract running through May 21, 2027. Work up to 37.5 hours weekly alongside a dedicated team focused on student growth and achievement.
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- Current, active Speech Language Pathologist licensure in the state of Texas (TX SLP)
- Previous experience in a K-12 school setting strongly preferred
- Spanish-speaking/bilingual proficiency is highly desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective IEPs
- Fingerprinting must be completed or verified through the Texas Education Agency (TEA); allow up to 10 business days for processing
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy for K-12 students according to individualized education plans
- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders
- Document student progress and communicate results to teachers, parents, and other relevant staff
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and school-based teams
- Adapt intervention strategies to meet diverse linguistic and cultural needs
