This contract position is a full-time, on-site role for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist seeking a vibrant, rewarding environment working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade. You’ll help foster communication skills and support educational goals among a diverse student population.
In this assignment, you may be responsible for supervision of SLPAs and case management across two campuses (elementary and high school) or delivering therapy and managing cases for one campus. Collaboration and adaptability are key as the position will likely be itinerant between assigned schools.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Texas SLP license in good standing
- Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings
- Bilingual Spanish proficiency preferred
- Strong ability to case manage and supervise SLPAs
- Ability to complete fingerprinting requirements through TEA (results may take up to 10 business days)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students from kindergarten to grade 12
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports
- Supervise and mentor Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as needed
- Provide consultative support to educators and families
- Manage caseload and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with all state and district guidelines for service delivery
