Your clinical contributions will focus on supporting students within specialized life skills programming across up to three locations (currently centered at the Westmoreland and Lane campuses). Enhance your practice and broaden your perspective with support from a robust SLP network, as well as direct collaboration with SPED, paraprofessionals, and assistants. The split schedule lets you tailor interventions for both students with unique academic needs and those focused on developing social skills and managing behaviors.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid SLP license & Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- School-based SLP experience, ideally supporting students with life skills needs
- Expertise in feeding and swallowing (safe eating) and AAC devices required
- Experience working in settings with higher behavioral needs a plus
- Ability to work independently with remote and in-person support
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 33 students, providing assessment and therapy for speech/language, feeding/swallowing, and AAC
- Collaborate across disciplines, supporting both SPED-focused and social/behavioral programming
- Participate in regular team meetings and professional development (virtual/monthly SLP support)
- Maintain clear documentation and contribute to IEPs
