Speech Language Pathologist in Creswell, OR
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students in specialized life skills programs for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time role spans two vibrant educational environments, split between Westmoreland Campus and Lane Schools, with a balanced weekly schedule at each. As a key Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC certified, school-based experience required), you will provide essential support to a caseload of approximately 33 students, impacting their communication and daily living skills.
You’ll work alongside an established team of 12 SLPs and receive ongoing virtual and monthly team support, in addition to in-person collaboration with special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other skilled staff. The Westmoreland Campus focuses on students with greater special education needs, while Lane Schools emphasizes social skills and behavioral support. There are high school students with behavioral challenges, but you’ll be well supported in addressing their needs.
Ideal candidates bring:
- Active SLP license with CCC credentials and experience in a school-based setting
- Previous work with students in life skills or self-contained programs
- Specific expertise in feeding and swallowing therapy (safe eating practices), as well as AAC implementation
- Ability to thrive independently while still embracing team-based collaboration through virtual and onsite support
- Confidence in managing diverse behavioral and social profiles within a supportive environment
Primary responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech-language therapy, focusing on feeding/swallowing and assistive technology
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement student-centered programs
- Participating in ongoing professional development and support sessions
- Documenting progress and maintaining compliance with school and district policies
This position offers a structured weekly schedule of 40 hours, beginning August 31, 2026 and concluding June 17, 2027.
