Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience in school-based settings is highly desired
- Proficiency with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems
- Skilled in feeding and swallowing therapy (safe eating) practices
- Comfort working autonomously while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Compassion, patience, and flexibility to support both high-needs and socially complex student populations
Role Highlights:
- Serve a diverse caseload of approximately 33 students
- Half the week at a campus supporting special education needs, with a focus on life skills and feeding
- Remaining days at a school prioritizing socialization and behavioral support
- Access to in-person collaboration with paraprofessionals, special education teachers, and assistants
- Receive ongoing guidance and virtual/monthly consultation from a seasoned SLP team—collaborative environment with a balance of independence
- No teletherapy responsibilities for this assignment
- Contract runs from August 31, 2026, to June 17, 2027, full-time (40 hours per week)
