Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Escondido, California

Step into a rewarding role supporting middle and high school students as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to make a significant impact on students’ communication skills within a dynamic educational environment for grades 6-12.
You’ll maintain a caseload of approximately 50 students, coordinating with school staff and families to deliver tailored services, conduct evaluations, and develop individual education plans. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring each student receives the highest quality support to meet their speech and language goals.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates also welcome
- Experience in school-based or pediatric SLP settings
- Strong knowledge of assessment, IEP development, and progress monitoring for students in grades 6-12
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering positive outcomes in diverse populations
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Provide onsite speech and language services to students in grades 6-12
- Conduct assessments and re-evaluations according to federal and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with educational teams and families
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Offer support and consultation to staff and caregivers on speech and language issues
