Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | El Cajon, California

This contract opportunity offers 33.75 hours per week, where you’ll work collaboratively with a dedicated team to support the communication needs of children, fostering their growth and development.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Prior experience in a school-based setting working with pediatric populations
- Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and documentation
- Experience with students who are deaf or hard of hearing is highly valued
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or a willingness to learn is preferred
- New graduates in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) may be considered
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to students across a diverse caseload
- Assess, diagnose, and develop creative, effective treatment plans for students
- Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Develop and update IEP goals, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt interventions for students who are deaf/hard of hearing or utilize ASL as needed
- Support a positive, inclusive, and communicative learning environment
