Make an impact as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist supporting day school students near sunny San Diego, CA. In this contract role, you’ll collaborate with a dynamic educational team to provide exceptional services to a diverse student population—especially those who are deaf or hard of hearing. With a schedule of 33.75 hours per week in a school setting, you’ll have both consistency and the opportunity to see the direct impact of your work.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is required
- Prior experience in pediatric or school-based settings
- Familiarity with assessment, treatment planning, and delivering therapy within schools
- Experience with or willingness to work with students who are deaf or hard of hearing is highly preferred
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and previous exposure to deaf education are major advantages
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress
- Open to SLPs in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) with strong school-based experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to elementary and middle school students
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on IEP goals
- Consult and coordinate with staff and families to support students’ educational and social development
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress monitoring
- Contribute to IEP meetings and create a supportive learning environment
