Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Eligible for or current state licensure
- Background working in school-based or pediatric SLP settings
- Experience supporting children with a range of communication needs, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or experience with students who use ASL is highly preferred
- Strong collaborative skills with educators, staff, and families
- CFY candidates considered if particularly strong in relevant experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy to students during school hours
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and monitor student progress
- Implement tailored interventions for students with speech, language, and hearing challenges
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and family members
- Use data-driven practices to adjust therapy approaches and document outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and professional development activities
- Foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that values each student’s unique communication needs
