Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the current school year. This assignment involves working Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM, serving approximately 60 students at a single school site. You’ll contribute directly to students’ communication development and support their educational goals within a well-organized, collaborative environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Minnesota SLP license required
- Eligible for (or possession of) the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Will consider Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
- School-based SLP experience preferred (pediatrics, high school, or transition age)
- Familiarity with healthcare SLP practices in educational settings
- Knowledge of IEP documentation and compliance
- Must be able to complete necessary credentialing and background processes—including fingerprints as required
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 60 students, providing direct speech and language therapy
- Evaluate, develop, and implement IEP goals; maintain ongoing documentation in the district’s IEP system
- Consult with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to enhance student support
- Participate in IEP review meetings and contribute to transition planning
- Serve as an itinerant SLP if needed; travel mileage is covered
