School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Step into a rewarding school-based contract position supporting young adults as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) covering a maternity leave from November 9th to March 1st. This unique opportunity is focused on working with the Transitional Education Service Alternative (TESA) program, serving individuals aged 18 to just before 22. You’ll make a meaningful impact helping students in the next phase of their educational journey.
This position offers a flexible .8 schedule (approximately 4 days per week) from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, with the flexibility to select your day off each week.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous experience in a school setting, preferably with transition-age or young adult populations
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work onsite (virtual SLP/SLPA roles are not considered)
- Genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs as they prepare for adulthood
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with a variety of communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based planning for transition services
- Provide ongoing documentation of student progress and maintain required records
- Foster a positive, supportive environment where students can thrive and develop essential life skills
