Step into a fulfilling role providing essential speech-language services to young learners during a key medical leave coverage assignment. This contract opportunity supports one school site with a focus on students in kindergarten through 3rd grade, enriching their educational journey while collaborating with a dedicated educational team.
Your schedule offers full-time hours—Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a lunch break from 12:00 to 12:30 PM. Dedicated time for report writing is also provided (an additional half hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays), ensuring you have the support you need to deliver quality care and documentation.
What You Bring:
- Active SLP license for Massachusetts
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience in K-3 special education or school-based settings highly valued
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to connect with young students and partner with educators and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to K-3rd grade students, managing a caseload of approximately 26
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document student progress
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special educators, and families to support student needs and IEP goals
- Schedule and complete required meetings, and manage required school-based paperwork
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment
