Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Dallas, TX
Step into a highly specialized Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity serving students in a dynamic regional day school program for the deaf. This full-time contract role offers 37.5 hours per week aligned with the academic calendar, with onsite responsibilities from August 11, 2026 through May 28, 2027. You’ll collaborate with a team of skilled therapists to deliver impactful services to around 130 deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) students, focusing on direct therapy interventions within a supportive educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Texas SLP license required
- Demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) or DHHT certification
- Experience working within schools and with DHH populations highly preferred
- Ability to provide engaging, individualized therapy for students across diverse age groups
- Commitment to in-person service (remote/virtual work not available for this role)
- Must complete TEA fingerprinting if not already current for Texas public schools (allow up to 7 days for clearance)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted speech and language therapy to DHH students, using ASL for communication and instruction
- Collaborate closely with fellow therapists as part of a three-member team, sharing caseloads and therapy delivery
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to IEPs and program planning
- Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate with families and educators
- Stay informed on best practices for speech therapy in DHH education
