School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Dallas, Texas
Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting students in a regional day school program for the deaf in the Dallas area! This full-time contract position runs from August 11, 2026, through May 28, 2027, and offers you the chance to make an impact as part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing therapy services in a collaborative school environment.
You'll play a crucial role working alongside other passionate professionals, focusing on therapy services for approximately 130 students who are deaf or hard of hearing. As a specialist with proficiency in American Sign Language or a credential in deaf/hard of hearing education, you’ll be part of a close-knit team of three therapists, largely delivering direct therapy while another team member leads evaluations. Your unique skills will foster student growth and communication success.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field
- Current Texas SLP license in good standing
- Fluency in American Sign Language or holding DHHT certification
- School-based SLP or pediatric therapy experience preferred
- Must pass fingerprint clearance through TEA if not recently completed
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized therapy to students in the DHH program
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure holistic support
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with state regulations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development and goal-setting
