With assignments split between middle school and high school settings, you’ll work predominantly with students experiencing mild to moderate communication needs and have the chance to make a tangible impact in their daily lives.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid state licensure as required to practice
- Previous experience in school-based settings, preferably across middle and high school age groups
- Strong organizational skills to manage a caseload averaging 55 students
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
- Comfort working onsite; not a remote position
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessments, therapy, and progress monitoring for students with various speech and language needs, focusing on mild and moderate cases
- Develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, participate in meetings, and maintain accurate student records
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Supervise and coordinate with a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), benefiting from additional support on select days at each site
- Provide services across both middle school and high school locations within a 37-hour workweek
