Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for California or eligibility to obtain one
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience providing SLP services in schools, with knowledge of IEP processes
- Familiarity with a range of communication disorders affecting school-aged children
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and social communication needs
- Deliver direct therapy to students, adapting methods for both individual and group sessions
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and participate in ongoing IEP meetings
- Consult with teachers, parents, and school administrators to optimize learning outcomes
- Offer guidance and training to support staff aiding in speech-language development
- Monitor and adjust interventions for ongoing student growth and success
