Step into a rewarding role serving students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the vibrant North Houston area. This full-time contract position runs from August 12, 2026, through May 28, 2027, offering stability throughout the academic year. You'll primarily support one school site, with the possibility to work itinerantly as needs arise across several campuses in the area.
Your knowledge and compassion will help students communicate, grow, and achieve their academic goals. With a student-centered focus, you’ll address varying caseloads and age groups, making a direct impact in the school environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is highly preferred.
- Willingness to work onsite full-time (37.5 hours/week).
- Enthusiastic support for Clinical Fellows (CFs) looking to further their careers.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and families.
- Flexibility to work at one primary campus, with the potential for itinerant assignments as needed.
Key responsibilities:
- Assess and deliver evidence-based therapy to students with speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for compliance and reporting.
- Participate in parent conferences and multidisciplinary meetings.
