Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Carlsbad, California

Experience an engaging opportunity as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students in grades 6-12. This fulfilling contract role focuses on empowering approximately 50 students to achieve their communication potential in an educational environment. Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcome to apply
- Valid SLP license in California (or eligibility)
- Experience in school settings with adolescent populations is highly valued
- Skilled in conducting assessments, managing IEP documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
- Genuine passion for supporting the unique needs of middle and high school students
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language interventions onsite for students in grades 6-12
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized, data-driven IEP goals
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports for a caseload of approximately 50 students
- Consult and coordinate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing expertise and advocating for each student’s needs
- Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in school-based SLP services
