Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship (CFY) candidates welcome
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred, but not required
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
- Passion for working with children and adolescents with diverse communication needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and parents
- Support school teams with advice on communication needs, classroom strategies, and student progress
- Document sessions, maintain detailed records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
