Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility for licensure in NY)
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) supervision
- Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations is highly valued
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, educators, and parents
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and implement effective treatment plans tailored to the needs of school-aged children
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessments and evidence-based therapy for students with various speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop, monitor, and adjust Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support students’ progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate speech/language goals within the academic setting
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Offer support and resources to promote generalization of skills into daily classroom activities
