Required skills and experience include:
- Valid SLP credentials (SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA)
- Prior experience in school-based and pediatric SLP settings
- Proficiency working with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices
- Comfort connecting with students via teletherapy as well as on site
- Dedication to child-centered, collaborative intervention
- Strong communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Background in supporting diverse communication needs
Key responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Integrate AAC devices and technology to maximize student participation
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions
- Document student progress and contribute to IEP meetings
- Engage in ongoing professional development to improve practices
