Qualifications and Skills:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology state license (or eligibility)
- Credentials: CCC-SLP, CFY-SLP, or experience in school-based settings
- Strong assessment, evaluation, and treatment planning skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Commitment to maintaining student confidentiality and ethical standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations of students referred for speech-language services
- Develop and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs)
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy in accordance with student IEPs
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and services delivered
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student learning and communication needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing educational planning
- Facilitate family communication and provide resources as needed
