Qualifications:
- Hold active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and Professional Educator License (PEL) credentials
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) required
- Previous experience in a school setting is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to thrive when working with diverse and high-needs student populations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and document progress toward therapy goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to foster student growth
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student needs
- Maintain records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Adapt intervention strategies to accommodate diverse learning and communication needs
