Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active ISBE Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language endorsement required
- Current Illinois State License (IDFPR)
- Bilingual ability in Spanish and English
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but first-year SLPs (CF-SLPs) are encouraged to apply
- Versatility to work across Carpentersville, Dundee, Algonquin, and Hampshire communities
- SLP-A applicants only considered under special circumstances
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy for a diverse school-based caseload (exact assignments to be determined)
- Assess, diagnose, and develop personalized treatment plans for students with a variety of communication needs
- Collaborate enthusiastically with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and administrators to ensure student growth and success
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, team planning, and professional development
