Preferred qualifications and background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for California or eligibility to obtain one
- Hold Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate status
- Experience or coursework in pediatric and/or school-based settings strongly desired
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to implement evidence-based therapy in both individual and group formats
- Knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and progress monitoring
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to students as specified in their IEPs
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments for students referred for speech and language concerns
- Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals based on student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and collaborating with team members
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with school and legal requirements
- Offer consultative support and training to teachers and parents to further student progress
- Engage in ongoing professional growth and uphold ethical, current practices in speech-language pathology
