School Speech Language Pathologist - Aurora, IL
Interviews are currently being arranged for an exciting school-based Speech Language Pathologist position in the Aurora, IL area. This contract opportunity is perfect for both experienced SLPs (CCC) and Clinical Fellows (CFYs), as new graduates will receive supportive supervision. In this role, you’ll work primarily with elementary-aged students—up to 35-40 on your caseload—in a single home-based school setting. Both general and special education classrooms are included, supporting students with a variety of needs, including those with ASD. With orientation provided before you start, you’ll feel fully prepared from day one. Materials, ongoing support, and a welcoming team environment all help set you up for a meaningful experience.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Illinois SLP licensure (or eligibility)
- ASHA CCC or Clinical Fellowship (CFY) status
- Enthusiasm for working with elementary grade students
- Comfortable in both general and special education settings, including ASD
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered services
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver therapy for speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents for holistic student support
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
