This part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers the opportunity to work 2-3 days per week with a flexible schedule in a school setting located in Melrose Park, IL. The role focuses on delivering bilingual speech therapy services, primarily conducting bilingual (Spanish-English) speech evaluations for students within the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language evaluations and therapy services to school-aged children
- Conduct thorough bilingual speech evaluations in Spanish and English
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support student communication development
- Utilize VOCO (VBD: Maggie) for documentation and service tracking
- Participate in individualized education program (IEP) meetings and contribute to student progress reports
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in school-based and pediatric settings
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
- Fluency in Spanish is a must to conduct bilingual evaluations effectively
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms is a plus, though on-site presence required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff
