Autism Specialist | New Prague, Minnesota
Step into a rewarding role supporting students K-8 as an Autism Specialist and Special Education Teacher at two school sites near New Prague, MN. Your week will consist of 30-32 hours over 4 flexible days—choose between Monday-Thursday or Monday-Friday—tailored to your preferences. With no summer hours required, you’ll have valuable time to recharge after the academic year concludes. This is an excellent fit for SLPs, SLP-CFs, or SLPAs seeking hands-on experience in both autism specialization and special education services within a supportive environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed as an SLP, SLP-CF, SLPA, or Special Education Teacher with background in autism support.
- Prior work with K-8 populations, particularly in school-based settings.
- Strong collaborative skills to work across teams and multiple locations.
- Ability to adapt programming and strategies to meet diverse student needs.
- Passion for fostering inclusivity, growth, and communication in every child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring services to students on the autism spectrum.
- Develop and implement IEP goals, collaborating with educational teams and families.
- Travel between two nearby school sites as part of your weekly routine.
- Offer support and guidance for teachers and staff regarding strategies for students with autism.
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in regular team meetings.
