Autism Specialist | Jordan, Minnesota

You'll be working across two sites, collaborating closely with school staff in a supportive environment. With a schedule of 30-32 hours per week—spread across four days (Monday through Thursday, or optionally to Friday)—you’ll have a consistent routine that accommodates your preferences. Your caseload includes students from kindergarten through 8th grade, providing the chance to build meaningful connections and see real progress from your expertise. This position is set to begin as soon as possible and continues through June 6, 2025, with no summer hours required, giving you a well-deserved break over the summer months. There is also a possibility to renew for the 2025-2026 school year.
Ideal candidates bring experience as an Autism Specialist, Special Education Teacher, or Speech-Language Pathologist, but SLP-Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) are also enthusiastically encouraged to apply.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Licensed SLP, SLP-CF, SLPA, Special Education Teacher, or Autism Specialist
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Passion for supporting students with autism and special needs
- Ability to work independently at multiple sites each week
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to a K-8 caseload
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement IEPs and individualized strategies
- Conduct assessments and contribute to goal setting for students
- Engage in regular communication with families and staff
