Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Pathologist in Watsonville, CA

Key qualifications:
- Active California SLP License required
- Strong dedication to serving students with special needs and their families
- Experience or training in assessment, evaluation, and consultation
- Effective, positive communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of all phases of the special education process and disability categories
- Previous school-based experience is preferred
- Ability to add humor, creativity, and adaptability to the workplace
Primary responsibilities:
- Screen, assess, and evaluate students referred for special education
- Deliver consultative and advisory services for diagnosing and remediating communication concerns
- Serve as a vital member of the multi-disciplinary team, informing IEP development
- Maintain regular communications with staff, families, and healthcare partners
- Assist in classroom or community-based language program development
- Provide targeted support for students with speech and language impairments
