Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Therapist - Cicero, IL

Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Illinois SLP licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of current therapy best practices and applicable technology
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students with a variety of communication disorders
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to monitor student progress
- Document services and maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute expertise, and provide recommendations for accommodations or modifications
- Educate and empower school personnel and families about strategies to support communication and language development
