School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant | Vero Beach, Florida

You'll be an essential part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to helping students, including those with Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), thrive in their academic journeys.
Your role will be on-site, beginning August 5th, 2026, and continuing through June 1st, 2027, offering a steady schedule of 35 hours per week. This position emphasizes meaningful clinical experience, with an emphasis on expertise and flexibility as you collaborate closely with staff at both locations. Bilingual candidates are highly valued, as are those with a proven track record working with diverse pediatric populations.
Qualifications:
- Current, active Florida Department of Health SLPA license
- Previous SLPA experience in a school or similar pediatric setting
- Understanding of and experience with children diagnosed with EBD and/or ASD
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Fingerprinting clearance is required (with potential for expedited process through the Department of Health)
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech/language interventions as directed by Supervising SLP
- Support students’ communication goals in classroom and small group settings
- Document sessions and progress in compliance with district and state requirements
- Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to reinforce therapy targets
- Adapt to the needs of two distinct student populations across both assigned campuses
