Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Port Saint Lucie, FL

This role involves working 35 hours per week and serving both White City Elementary (K–5) and St. Lucie West K–8. You'll split your time between these well-respected campuses, providing assistance to children with diverse needs—including those with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). A background in school settings working with these populations will enable you to thrive from day one. While bilingual candidates are especially encouraged, all dedicated SLPAs meeting the requirements are welcome to apply.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold an active Florida Department of Health SLPA license
- Demonstrated experience as an SLPA, preferably in a school setting
- Previous experience with students with EBD and ASD considered strongly advantageous
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or other languages (a plus, not required)
- Ability to work across two campuses and manage a varied caseload
- Must complete required fingerprinting (possible transfer from DOH)
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Support communication and language development for a diverse student body
- Assist with assessments, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Collaborate closely with the school team and families to ensure student success
