This rewarding contract opportunity allows you to work with children ranging from kindergarten through 8th grade, with a diverse caseload that includes students with emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Spend the school year collaborating with experienced professionals and dedicated educators. Your time will be divided between two welcoming campuses, fostering student progress in both traditional elementary and K-8 environments. The exact split between campuses will be determined prior to your start.
What you’ll bring:
- Current, active FL Department of Health SLPA license
- Previous experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in a school setting
- Familiarity working with children who have EBD and ASD
- Bilingual skills are highly valued
- Ability to complete fingerprinting and credentialing as required
- Commitment to supporting student growth and team collaboration
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct speech-language services under licensed supervision
- Assisting with screenings and implementing therapy plans
- Collaborating with teachers, SLPs, and other staff to maximize student outcomes
- Documenting progress and maintaining timely records
- Traveling between two nearby campuses as assigned
This is a full-time, 35-hour week contract role running from August through early June. You'll play a vital role in students' development while growing your own expertise in a supportive school environment.
