Position Overview
ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a part-time, school-based opportunity in Mount Vernon, WA! This position is ideal for an SLPA looking for a consistent, flexible schedule while supporting students with their speech and language development in an educational setting.
The selected candidate will work collaboratively with the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and school staff to help implement speech and language services, support student communication goals, and contribute to students' academic and social success.
Job Responsibilities
Assist with implementing speech and language treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP.
Support students in developing speech, language, and communication skills.
Provide individual and small-group therapy activities as directed by the supervising SLP.
Monitor and document student progress in accordance with established treatment plans and school procedures.
Collaborate with the supervising SLP, teachers, and other school personnel to support student needs.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow applicable professional and school-based guidelines.
Qualifications
Active Washington State SLPA license required.
Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred.
Experience working with school-aged children is a plus.
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work a consistent, two-day-per-week schedule.
