Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active SLPA license or certification required
- Previous school-based experience, particularly with middle school grades, is highly valued
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educators, families, and supervising SLPs
- Comfortable working in a diverse, inclusive educational environment
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage documentation and progress tracking
- Familiarity with IEP goals and educational protocols is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to assigned students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Assist with the development of therapy materials and adapt activities to meet student needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and families to foster student communication skills within the academic setting
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development as needed
