Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Possess a current SLPA license or eligibility to practice in Massachusetts
- Previous experience or strong interest working with school-aged children, preferably in middle school settings
- Understanding of speech and language development, as well as common disorders among adolescents
- Ability to collaborate with supervising SLPs, educators, and families to implement and monitor student treatment plans
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Demonstrated professionalism, empathy, and adaptability within fast-paced school environments
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Work with a caseload of approximately 15-20 students in grades 5 through 8
- Support the development and carryover of speech, language, and communication goals within the classroom and during pull-out sessions
- Assist with documentation, progress monitoring, and report preparation following school and district guidelines
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and collaboration with teachers and specialists
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student engagement and success
