Key Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Current SLPA licensure or certification (as required by state guidelines)
- Prior experience with children or students in educational/clinical settings preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
- Familiarity with literacy interventions and phonemic awareness
- Experience using progress monitoring tools and data collection systems
- Understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and MTSS frameworks
- Strength in building positive relationships with both students and staff
- Flexible, proactive, and student-centered mindset
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech and language services to students, following IEP or intervention plans
- Assist lead SLPs with assessment, data gathering, and documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and specialists to support student success
- Implement evidence-based strategies for literacy, articulation, and receptive/expressive language
- Adapt services to meet diverse learning needs across elementary, middle, and high school settings
