Step into a rewarding school-based position supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant for the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity runs from August 2026 through late May 2027, offering both full-time and part-time schedules to suit your career preferences.
Multiple SLPA roles are available:
- Two full-time positions (37.5 hrs/week) working with students across both elementary and middle school grades.
- One part-time role (three days per week) with a focus on assisting middle and high school students.
Each opening will have a focused assignment in a single building to foster consistent relationships with students and staff. Full-time caseloads are split between elementary and middle settings, while part-time coverage balances middle and high school needs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Colorado SLPA license required
- Previous experience in a school environment is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborative teamwork with educators and families
- Ability to adapt communication style for students across elementary, middle, or high school levels
- Well-organized, with reliable documentation and record-keeping skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy interventions developed by certified SLPs
- Support IEP goals, document student progress, and contribute to team meetings
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to facilitate carryover of therapy strategies
- Assist in preparation of materials and data tracking for student programs
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that celebrates student growth
