School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Anderson, California

This position spans the entire school year, with working hours from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (aligned with the student schedule), totaling 35 hours per week. As an SLPA, you’ll collaborate closely with a virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), providing onsite support for diverse caseloads, including TK-4 students with extensive needs, TK-8 regional Deaf/Hard of Hearing children, State Preschoolers, and students from TK-8 Elementary levels. The role is itinerant, allowing you to work with multiple programs and age groups, making each day unique and rewarding.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid SLPA licensure in California
- Previous experience in school settings preferred (new grads considered)
- Ability to work independently and under virtual supervision
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with students with varying communication needs, including extensive and Deaf/Hard of Hearing populations
Responsibilities:
- Carry out treatment plans developed by supervising SLP
- Deliver targeted speech-language activities to individuals and small groups
- Track and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to facilitate student success
- Travel between schools as needed (itinerant role)
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all regulations
