Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLPA licensure or eligibility to practice as an SLPA in Oregon
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles, therapy techniques, and documentation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for effective collaboration with students, families, and educational staff
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites as part of an itinerant role
- Organization and time management skills to deliver services across varied school settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs)
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students
- Support students through group and individual interventions within the school environment
- Collect data and maintain accurate records of student progress and session outcomes
- Assist with screenings and assessments as directed by the supervising SLP
- Communicate progress and share insights with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Contribute to a positive learning environment that promotes student confidence and success
