Key Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field required
- Valid SLPA license/certification for Oregon (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working in school or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ability to track student progress
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Adaptable, organized, and enthusiastic about supporting diverse learners
Core Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy plans and activities designed by licensed SLPs under direct supervision
- Work one-on-one and in small group settings to encourage students’ speech, language, and social development
- Document student progress, collect data, and prepare informal reports for the clinical team
- Support SLP with preparation of therapy materials and classroom integration
- Communicate regularly with educators, families, and team members to optimize support for each student
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all
