Key Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field required
  • Valid SLPA license/certification for Oregon (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience working in school or pediatric settings is highly valued
  • Understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ability to track student progress
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Adaptable, organized, and enthusiastic about supporting diverse learners

Core Responsibilities:

  • Implement therapy plans and activities designed by licensed SLPs under direct supervision
  • Work one-on-one and in small group settings to encourage students’ speech, language, and social development
  • Document student progress, collect data, and prepare informal reports for the clinical team
  • Support SLP with preparation of therapy materials and classroom integration
  • Communicate regularly with educators, families, and team members to optimize support for each student
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all
